Pretty impressive I have to say, esp. the f1.8 one, over 90lppm and still the f1.0 over 70lppm...

A very interesting chart indeed. I'm especially interested in the smaller chart, showing the EF 85mm lenses. The f/1.2 Ls are right up there with the 85mm f/1.8. Outstanding optics.

I own the earliest version of Canon's 85mm f/1.2 -- the 85mm f/1.2 SSC Aspherical. I've not had the opportunity to compare its resolution to the later "L" lenses, but according to a few sources I've read, the "grandfather" 85mm -- the one I own -- is the best of them all. Even at f/1.2, a resolution of over 60 lppmm is considered excellent.

To resolve 90 lpm on FF you need a 50 MP sensor.
