There's a Quantaray discussion going on over here, which brought to mind a lens I had for a while. Bought and sold it for pittance - and regret the selling bit, as it was actually not that bad at all.

Well I was checking my M42 Petri for light leaks, and tried this lens I have:- It's a Sun 85-210 f4.5 but the Quantaray lens looks very similar, anyway the results were very good.

Sun 85-210 f4.5 supermarket dev and scan and no sharpening in Photoshop.

mal1905 is your lens one touch or two. I found this at a thrift for a fiver. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Minolta-MC-MD-Zoom-Lens-Quantaray-80-205mm-f4-5-Mint-In-Box-22-166-2854/112735666273?hash=item1a3f91c061:g:I7AAAOSw4DJYj9F-:sc:USPSPriority!87110!US!-1

Doing research I can't find a sigma lens that looks similar. Any one have any idea who made this, just curious? It has a nikon mount and I don't have an adapter at the moment. Seems as most makers including Quantaray that made a 80-205 f4.5 made one touch lenses. My lens looks in great condition even had a 52mm hoya pl attached.

Best wishes,
Brian
