It seems some of the employees of this company had relation with Kyocera and Tomioka. All these lenses are made in Contax/Yashica mount. The 55/1.2 is a resurrection of Tomioka while the other two seems closely related to the Contax/Yashica counterpart.

Looks quite interesting indeed! Are there prices known already?

Just disappointed with the blown out portrait images they posted...

Found it, here:
85mm f1.4 http://kinoshita-optical.com/ready/kistar_85mm_f1-4
55mm f1.2 http://kinoshita-optical.com/ready/kistar_55mm_f1-2
35mm f1.4 http://kinoshita-optical.com/ready/kistar_35mm_f1-4

MTF does not look really impressive for the 55m though...

You can find the price here too, in Japan Yen.

55mm, ¥99,380
35mm, ¥144,980
85mm, ¥133,400
All price include 8% sales tax. If ship aboard, it will be tax free. ¥10,000 is roughly equals to $90.

They are not making very sharp lenses, as you would expect from their old counterpart. The original Tomioka 55/1.2 is OK at WO(I have one) so does this 55/1.2.

I bet they don't move too many units at those prices.

Yes. However, I don't think they are going to make a profit from these lenses similar to the lenses made by MS-Optics.

An unfortunate, if appropriate brand name...
