hi,
Just a post for those interresting with Contaflex lenses.
I got lot of inspiration from many links over the web, wonderful conversion and photos, so I decided to make mine.
I know nothing about conversion, so I expect some hard time, but Contaflex are so so so cheap...
10 euros for the camera, 15 euros for 35mm 3.2 and 115mm 4.
THE CAMERA
STARTING DISASSEMBLY, a little heart breaking
THE LENS
SHUTTER DISABLE
F22
5.6
F2.8
I am waiting for the helicoidal focusin ring M52 M42 17-31, and other ring to adapt M52 M42, C-mount ring as well.
I will be able to shoot in less than 2 months.
If you have advices or photos from previous conversion, don't hesitate to share ! _________________ Sony A7

Some news,
I finally received everything.
Here how I expect to assemble everything
1. LENS
2. 55mm female - 52mm male
3. Expensive Helicoid, because it is Zeiss lens
4. slim M42 to NEX
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The 55mm Female / 52mm Male perfectly sit into the bottom of the lens (once the inner thread have been trimmed with a blade cutter)
I have disassemble an other contaflex lens, the outer diameter of the lens is totally different from this one.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Final assembly, need to test before gluing with Cyanolit
So what I can say, this is my 1st conversion, it is super easy (I know nothing), you don't have to disassemble the lens to stuck the shutter open (good news)
I keep update once I have some sample (35mm / 50mm / 85mm / 115mm)
I am converting others lenses as well, a nice contaflex 126 more difficult because of the aperture ring, an old mamiya rangefinder and UV topcor adapter on its way.
Hope it will be worth the effort.
If someone have some tips and trick on how to set infinit focus, I would be greatful. I know with helicoid you don't have to be super accurate, but if you have some litterature or link... _________________ Sony A7
