I gave my 'gift' Yashica FR-1 an outing and tried couple of lenses -- my Carl Zeiss Planar T* 50mm f1.4 off my Contax RTS II Quartz and a Tamron adaptall II close focus BBR 135mm f2.5. I had trouble with the 50mm Planar 'Back-Focusing' on the Contax but on the Yashca FR-1 at full aperture it seems accurate. The Tamron is great -- sharp at full aperture.
For testing I used a cassette of outdated Fuji Press 800 downrated to 320 ASA and home-processed in well-used C41. On better film results will be much better.

I kind of like the grainy results!
