Cute camera but the shutter is slow. Lens is some sort of doublet? Focusing done by
separating the two elements. This camera (picture from thecamerasite):

mounted with m42 extension, cardboard and film canister

needs a hood, otherwise no contrast
#5

not very sharp but decent color and contrast
#1

first attempt at infinity
#2

tube is sort of wobbly so center is not the main focus
#3

infinity at last after use of some scissors

Most likely a triplet. On simple cameras focus was by moving the front element.

But I would have expected much better results here.
Triplets can be very sharp.

Nice work of adaptation! The effort you made in praise of curiosity is really meritable.

Have you already tried to shoot people witht this lens? This softness might give an interesting ancient-like effect.

Mount is still wobbly, I did the focusing moving the whole lens. I think I can get better results by calibrating it at infinity and using the original focusing helicoid.

I didn't actually go after sharpness, just to get a reconizable picture. Very Happy

But it is not very unsharp after all.

Checked for haze?
I would expect good contrast usually.
These front-cell focus lenses almost always have haze from evaporated lubricant.
