And assuming infinity is perfectly adjusted. Are all Meyer Oreston versions also in play? What about Prakticars PB bayonet?

I have a Pentacon Auto 50mm F1.8 and when I used it on a cropped sensor Canon 70D, it never hit the mirror. Serial Number 5733917.

I'm afraid my default mindset is that M42 lenses at infinity are likely to hit the mirror on my 5DII.

I have no records from my first love affair with MF lenses but currently in the house Pentacon 3.5/30mm does, Helios 44-2 2.0/58 doesn't, and Unistar 3.5/135mm does.

Since we are talking about Prakticar. I wanted to understand is PENTACON prakticar 50mm F1.8 and Prakticar aus Jena 50mm F1.8. On the same form. It's the same thing ?

Is the problem only with the full frame Canon cameras? No issue with the Rebels? And does the mirror suffer damage if it hits?
