Great write-up on your site, Alberto, and absolutely wonderful photos. I especially like the one above!

To whom it may be of interest, here is some additional info about the Hexanon 21/12.8:
In my database I have the production codes and serial numbers of 71 of them. The image that emerges is that approximately 2,400 units were made in two distinct batches. The first 2,000 or so (SN 6480017 to 6481883) were made between January 1979 and December 1980, and the other 400 or so (SN 6485113 to 6485560) were made in May and June 1984. Curiously, the two batches seem to have slightly different SN runs not a single lens on the list has a SN falling between 6482000 and 6485000.

The sample is modest, so my estimations are tentative. As the sample grows, it may be necessary to revise the production numbers, but I strongly suspect it wont be by much, if at all. A 21mm lens was something of a specialty lens in those days. The price tag (over $200) reflected this and the market for it was relatively small.

EDIT, 8 May 2021: I made a mistake when first writing this post. The serial numbers of the Hexanon 21/2.8 begin with 648, NOT with 684. Thanks to Stephan for pointing this out.
