Just got this Helios-89 lens reworked into m39 from Russia. Interesting lens from Fed Mikron Half frame, and cover fullframe pretty well when adapted. Just some slight mechanical vignetting in the corners against infinity... Slightly adjusted contrast on this.

Looked at that one, too, but wasn't that sure. Looks not bad actually.

It's ok, but more of an effect lens on FF really. Still fun to use Wink

I'd be very happy with both of those pictures, vignetting or no - it's not a distraction.

There is a Helios 2/35 that covers FF, I had one but it was in a strange industrial mount so I sold it. I think it was a Helios-33, not very common.

Thx for input guys. The Helios range is definitive diverse and interesting and there are many lenses that are less common.
A few more... Childrens farm is a good place to test out lenses! Some pp...

I just bought a Fed Mikron (FED-30) which has the same (fixed) lens.

Has anyone done the conversion to Sony E mount?

WOW !
Congrats, Lars.
Very fine pictures. I would say this special lens is arty.

Nice photos! (like always)
I also consider it as a effect lens, especialy because there is not any diaphragm.
Ian, AFAIK, Helios-33 does not cover FF. Maybe yours covered because you were too far from sensor (macro only, if I understood right, your version was not adaption friendly), but at infinity, it does not cover.
