Fabulous shots, and what vivid colors! Looking at those photos makes it clear why Hexanons were called "slide shooters’ lenses" back in the seventies.
In your write up on your website you refer to the production volume of the Hexanon 105 being short: In my database I have the serial numbers and production codes of 74 of them, and the SNs run from 7920145 to 7923823. It would thus seem that about 4,000 were made. The PCs indicate that they were made from the spring of 1973 until late 1979, with a two-year break in 1975-76. Of the sample, about 80% were made in 1974, 1977 or 1979, in roughly equal quantities for each of those years. So the lens is uncommon indeed.
In comparison, the production volume of the Hexanon 55/3.5 macro, which you also mention in your write-up, was about 35,000 (it was made for almost a decade – from early 1972 to late 1981).

Thank You Dog Thank you!

And thanks for the information, Jean-Jacques. I will update my post with some of your data. I remember coming across your site a year or two ago, and then I lost the link. I'm glad that I found you again!
