I never had a Jupiter 11 and, on an impuse, I just got this one:

It was advertised as a "new old stock" cine lens for the Kinor cameras. Do you know if it really covers FF, as the seller says? |

I'm sure it does. The lens head and aperture mechanism looks identical to the M39/LTM version, only the focus helicoid and mount are different. _________________ Thomas Bernardy

Exact same lens as the other mounts, just with the oct mount for cine use.
What I recommend doing is keeping your eye out for another J11 in M39 or M42 that has issues so is cheap, you can then simply swap the optical block over.
On the coverage, the optical block itself, when not inside a tube mounting will throw an image circle that is just and so too small to cover a 6x9 frame at infinity, but does cover 6x9 at 10m. I know because I mounted a J11 optical block in a shutter to use as a portrait lens on my 6x9 Speed Graphic. _________________ I don't care who designed it, who made it or what country it comes from - I just enjoy using it! |

Thanks Ian, that's exactly what I hoped when I bought it. It's good to know it has such a huge coverage.
My intention is to adapt it to my mew LM-EA7 AF adapter as an easy to handle and light 135 mm. If it's light enough I may add a small supplementary helicoid for close-ups, too.
Having such a fleet mount makes adapting it very easy for me.

In fact, this lens was not only used on Kinor, but on several system, including the military aerial video camera AKS, as you can see on this photo :
