When I arrived at my temporary destination I also found a Tamron 052B 90mm 2.5 tele-macro waiting. Gave it a try during my morning walk with the dog, shooting my usual subjects. Was a little worried about blue spot issues, but with a primitive small (and ugly) rubber lens hood flare problems are reasonably under control.

1: Nice coulours and small detail rendering from the weeping willow

2: excellent sharpness (but extremely short dof) at 2:1

3: Sun at 10 o'clock, but no flaring problems

4: Infinity sharpness from building to plane, @f/8

5: Close focus against the light: contrast galore

Very nice! I especially like the bokeh in the last photo. I own one of these Tamron 90s and I find mine to be incredibly sharp. Also, it is probably the best value in macro lenses at the moment.
