Ernst Leitz Wetzlar Elmar 90mm f4

I bought this old beauty in a small shop in Moscow.
The seller told me this is a pre-war lens. For Nikon lenses there is a well-known website to determine the approximate date of production based on the serial code on the lens. Is there something similar also in the Leica world?

According to the source mine was produced in 1938 along with other 7000 copies.
