He would like to get his property back it was family owned lens, so especially valuable to him. It did happen on 13th of November 2016. He has paperwork with sign and name of border officer. If anybody has an idea , contact , layer etc in Kiev please let me to know , thank you!

Sorry, can't help you there, but I've read the story on Ukrainian media. Unfuckingbelievable.

Took me some time, but here we go (in Russian). http://censor.net.ua/photo_news/414944/italyanets_s_radioaktivnym_obektivom_k_fotoapparatu_vyyavlen_pri_posadke_na_reyis_kiev_frankfurt_gospogranslujba

In the process, I found out that this stuff is still forbidden to move through Russian border and there are several cases of Takumars being confiscated. Apparently Ukrainian customs are no better, they report with pride their "achievement". Recently, they also caught someone with cheap Chinese cctv camera, proudly labelled it surveillance equipment and confiscated on the basis of 30 year old law. Morons.

They probably used the same 30 year old law on your friend as well Sad
