Photo taken with Ricoh GXR-M and Voigtländer Color-Heliar 75mm/F2.5 fully open. Distance apprx. 1m. Ricoh GF-1 flash was used indirectly (to the ceiling).
RAW with some adjustments in LR. Downsized for presentation. No sharpening. Full picture (no crop).

It's an American Staffordshire Terrier. 3 yr. female. Very friendly and lovely character. Not dangerous at all!

Maybe one of us need a new monitor?
Look at her eyelashes (100% crop of the same picture):
Due to lack of blood veins in the eyes (Attila-method) I put the focus on the eyelashes.
However, the DOF is extremely shallow at F2.5.
I can't see any shake blur on my monitor with my eyes. Sorry.

That's really interesting.
However, I'll try it tomorrow with tripod again to check for any visible differences.
To reduce the ambient light and add some flashes and/or reflectors may also do the trick. Will see.
I've only noticed something alike at the ending of her ear and thought she was moving it during shot or that it might be already out of focus.
It's rather difficult to instruct my model for proper behavior. That's most probably the biggest challenge.
It's a pity as I liked the way she was looking in this very moment very much. Though, still good enough for the family album.

This was the best. Though, I liked the posing from yesterday much more.
Another blanket and even a professional background would certainly improve the overall impression.
However, I was too lazy to set up my whole studio environment. It's rather hot today.

So please don't tell me again that you see any shake in this picture. I don't see anything like shake. No way!
