Trying out my newly acquired Vivitar 100/2.5 Series One macro lens with a Yashica mount and adapter on an A7. Lovely lens. I'm new to macro but totally in love with macro lenses already. Have two Vivitars (100mm Kiron and 55mm Komine), a Tamron SP 90/2.5, and a Takumar 50/f4. But I still have trouble dealing with harsh shadows while chasing furtive creatures.

Here's one of a mantis that kept in shadow but at least didn't move too much.

Outstanding! I own a copy of this lens in Nikon mount and I love it. It's also nice having the extra stop that most 100mm macros don't fhave for really blurring the background.
