... which turned out to be a f1.9/154mm Prototype after examination and comparison.

Visionar 1.9/154mm (left) vs russian high res 4.5/150mm. Image dimensions confirm it is indeed a f=154mm lens

Visionar 1.9/154mm (left) vs russian high res 2.8/135mm. Image dimensions confirm also here it is indeed a f=154mm lens

VISIONAR 154mm bokeh (focused on object):

VISIONAR 154mm bokeh (focused on BG):

Amazing contrast and sharpness at f1.9 the VISIONAR has! (Russian lenses have slightly yellowed glass, hence the warm images).

That's quite impressive for 154/1.9 and wide open.

Thanks guys!

Took it for a walk...(certainly not designed for my close up use, but wanted to try at least)

well lessons learned is that 154mm handheld even with practise is quite a challenge...

Against the light performance... Justice building top about 30 meters away (100ft)

Yes, it does have quite a bit CA, too

Sharpness and contrast are IMHO outstanding for far away objects for a f1.9 lens:

Doesn't look very sharp on the closeups. High CA is normal with this sort of projection lens because used in for it's original purpose - projecting an image onto a flat plane, the red and green CA seen here does not occur because the CA is in front or behind the plane of focus. Even the multiple thousands of dollars state of the art cine projection lenses from Schneider and ISCO still have red/green or blue/yellow CA.

Thanks guys!

Yes, it is not really that sharp in closeups and of course there is CA in OOF areas,
as both were not design criteria for a lens supposed to produce very sharp images
on a far away reflective projection screen. I just tried it out and presentred the
results here. It really shines with far away objects and the more 2-dimensional they
are, the better of course.

This is the lens:
