Hello.

One week ago I've been at a photographic event were I had put my Helios to work on some portraits.
I'm going to share a few.

Here's the first one:

super picture
the pastel tones are sending an "untouchable" message
I do not see, what could have been done better with a
new lens, except, that you wouldn´t get this swirly
background that fits perfect

Thank you all! Smile
Glad you liked.

I've used the preset to set the Helios to go from f/2 to f/2.8 only, and I just close to the point were I start to see the diaphragm showing (I think around f/2.2 or f/2.5)

I love this lens, but as I do most of my portraits on group events with other photographers, I don't usually have the time I want/need to be in front of the models to manual focus and repeat if I don't nail the focus at first shot.
So, for convenience I pick up the Auto-Focus lenses more often.
I try to use it more on my personal portrait projects.

Here's another one from the same day:

Here's another one.

Next time I must be careful to not to place the model's head close to the edge of the frame because it start to lack sharpness.

I'm using the Helios whenever I can during my latest photo sessions and events.
Not only for the sake of swirl bokeh, as you can see.

Amazingly beautiful portraits. Not just the lens though, also the way you use light, postprocessing etc. Very good. Smile

Thank you very much!
In all these portraits only natural light was used with the aid of a reflector.
