The tone is more 'substantial' when compared with xenon 50, all at f/4.

Very nice and compact lens. Not perfect ergonomically, the closest distance is to long in comparison to modern lenses, the corners are soft on open aperture, but f5,6 down everything is sharp. Good for traveling.

I agree and nice pic! This lens together with the curtagon 35/2.8 have become the compact twins for traveling.

its a non macro super compact 85mm--it was not made for 'close up' work. for that, kodak provided an excellent 'close up' kit, which works wonderfully, provides great results, and can now be had for around $10.
