So i've had this Tank of a minolta on the shelf for a while that's been well used, but not by me.
Technically it cost $18 with postage but still a bargain.
Model is an Auto Tele Rokkor - QF 200mm f3.5.
Went to the local zoo today and gave it a try as i'm sorting through lenses to see what will be culled.
This ones a keeper.

Few Shots, exposure adjust and resized.

I haven't used mine a lot, it is "a tank" of a lens so it doesn't get carried far. Which is a shame, it's a very good lens.

Very nice! I really like the crosshatched specular highlights in the bokeh in the photo of the cheetah.

There was a fence about half a meter in front of the camera which caused this but i like it too.

I have the same lens in minty condition. It looks superbly made but man, its heavy!

Never tried it out!

My 'Tank' also is a super lens - my arthiritis prevents me using it

I grabbed the Rokkor QF when I went for a late afternoon walk, both shots are straight from the Sony A6000 except for sizing. ISO 500, f5.6
The clock picture is hand held and one of my usual test pictures, if anything can generate purple fringing that clock can! The fungus shot was taken on a tripod.
I have just made a long lens support for lenses like this that do not have a tripod mount and it makes a huge improvement to using this heavy lens on a tripod, even a light one. I shall be using this excellent lens a lot more.
