Hey guys!

To start off I just want to say that I don't have the classic problem with the pin getting stuck, with the solution in this post:
http://forum.mflenses.com/jammed-spotmatic-t7169.html

My problem is that the actual lever winding the film and pulling the pin up to the shutter position is stuck. Does anyone have any idea what might be wrong?

Here's a link to a short clip showing the stuck mechanism: https://goo.gl/photos/1YqHRb2Mq13zfiFfA

The silver lever is in the wrong place, not uncommon they do sometimes slip past the black cocking arm.

That's the thing, I think my spotmatic is reversed compared to most. I've come to this conclusion pulling the black cocking arm in direction of the black cog actually loads the fire mechanism, and if you look at the smaller silver lever in connection with the black cog it is also formed to hold the cocking arm closer to the cog rather than the opposite.

The problem is that the bigger silver lever and the mechanics moving it are stuck.

Out of interest I took off the base-plate of MY Spotmatic, which works OK and the RED WIRE is on the opposite side to yours and the lever looks different shape.

The old SV and S1a models worked that way around, I've never seen a spotmatic like it before.

You should be able to push the black lever down to engage with your finger, if that moves alright then it's the gear mechanism that is jammed,
if there is nothing stuck in the gears then you probably need to take the top of the camera off.
If the black lever won't move manually then it's a fault in the shutter or mirror box.

the black lever moves and I can put is in position and load the shutter, and all that seem to work just fine. So I guess its off with the camera top next then.
