Just won this nice one made 1948, both caps, original box, M42 mount... (Correction: it was made 4.4.1949!! The Auction house got this wrong)

(c) Breker Auctions

Was surprised about my win, expected it to fetch much more in this stunning condition and completeness...

Beautiful lens, hardly used in nearly 70 years? That is odd.

Thanks guys, could have been a collector or user who rarely used it, but the focus is smooth and no oily blades...

Yep, will sell my other one, once I had a chance to compare them.
The other one also has the original box and caps.

Ha, my friend Calvin was so nice to bring to my attention that there was a mistake identifying the age of my lens!
Checked THIELE's latest book Zeiss Jena II and indeed it states it was made 4.4.1949!!

THX Calvin!
