Well, a f1.1 lens is really something special...
Also that one shows a good background seperation ability
Here now some more detailed shots:
@f1.1
@f1.4
@f2
@f4
@f1.1
[/url
@f1.4
[url=http://forum.mflenses.com/userpix/20106/big_455_Kowa375_P1060583_f14_c_1.jpg]
@f2
Although not explicitely mentioned, that lens seems to be apochromatically corrected, I see no LCA at all
100% crop
DOF at f1.1 is very shallow of course

Yes, but still some machining was needed to make it fit and achieve infinity focus.
Much larger and much more heavy than the Kinoptik, also has a focusing lever like
some Arri film lenses, easy to use.

Depends, ca 0.5-0.7m I would guess. I design the mounts and have then my mechanic make them usually. Here is was very easy, just to take off a bit here and there. _________________ Klaus - Admin

Yes the Kinoptik is even better indeed Peter, but the Kowa comes close and has the f1.1 advantage also for low light shooting.
