4x5:Hugo Meyer&Co-Goerlitz Atelier-Schnellarbeiter 1:3 F

One of my latest aquisitions and for me the one of importance is a Hugo Meyer & Co - Goerlitz Atelier-Schnellarbeiter 1:3 F=180mm from around 1904.
It is a pretty big and heavy Petzval lens. And it is really rare.
Of course I wanted to try it. Took me some time and work to reach that aim.
Had an old and very big Compound shutter in broken condition. Shortened it and stripped it completly (except the built-in diaphragm unit, which was ok), repaired the shutter, made some new pins, that were broken. Was quite a work to learn it, but finally got it running again.
Another task was to get the lens mounted on the shutter, without doing any harm and modification to the lens.
The whole unit turned out to become pretty giant and heavy, so I had to make a support for the lens to get the weight on my Tachihara in balance.
Looks ridiculous, but works.

I too have that lens, in a bit shorter focal length (f3/135mm)
