SMC Pentax 24mm 2.8 shipped today and finally there seems to be some movement for the Tamrom adaptall-2 24mm 2.5 01BB version. |
Let me know how it performs. I'm in need for a good 24mm. |
Somehow I think this will end with somebody pointing to a Minolta, but I am limited to K-mount or M42. I was pleasantly surprised by the Takumar 24mm F3.5 despite it being hazy, there is also an SMC K version of that lens. The 2.8 K is a more modern design I guess, it was carried over to the Pentax-A line-up. |
I have this lens as well and compared it recently to the Minolta lens on my A7R II. There isn't much difference; i.e. you won't be disappointed.
Within your limitations this is a very good choice. _________________ Thomas Bernardy

....original case
The tripod plate is included this time.
Original filter set- 3 color filters and one N/D.
With the hood on. This hood differs from the first. I can thread it onto the lens upside down to fit in the case.
The friction fit cap fits somewhat loosely over the bottom of the hood. It will be fine as long as it's cased.
Different Adapt-All-2's for Nikon. The newest by s/n is much simpler, and stronger than the earlier version that tried to have a dummy aperture lever, A/I-s scoop, and markings for ADR that I could never get to line up.
Another view of the Adapt-All-2 mounts...
Now to find a situation where I can run a test without fogging the new to me lens in the cold...

I can compare it with a RMC Tokina 24/2.8, Sigma
Super-Wide II, Panagor 24/2.5 (Komine), Super-Takumar 24/3.5 and still incoming a SMC Pentax 24/2.8. I also have two wide angle zooms 24-48/50 By Tamron and Pentax. _________________ pentaxian |

Do they share the same diameter to adapt? I've used the projector helicoid,a fd-nex and a small metal tube and now I can focus to infinity as well

I'm curious how Dimaron is rendering, there's not much info about it (not like Colorplan)
I was looking into Rodenstock Splendar 100mm 2.8 but there isn't much info neither |

When the adapters arrive I'll get some pictures up. Like you, I couldn't find out much about it. I've had it apart and as far as I can tell it is a triplet with 3 non-cemented elements. |

That´s enough shopping for now.
Did you notice prices soaring since only the last two months? It´s crazy. And I missed a reasonable priced Hexanon 85mm two weeks ago, all I find now is double the price.
This Canon lens was actually to easen the pain. I really was into that Hexanon.
I just wonder why I find so very little about the FD 85mm 1.8 here in MFlenses. Compared to the 85mm 1.2 which is all over the place. Is there any reason for this? I didn´t have much chance to shoot with it yet, but sharpness and color rendition seem reasonably good.
#1 taken with EM-10 and Hexanon 40mm 1.8 @f8, 1.3".
Btw it´s almost enough. I´m still waiting for a Hexanon 21mm f4. But then it´s enough. _________________ Cheers, Gerhard |

Couple of Leitz projector lenses - Dimaron 15cm f2.8 and Colorplan 90mm f2.5. Adapters also ordered from Raf which will hopefully be here before Christmas (fingers crossed).
Entering into the photography with projection lenses? Quite an interesting journey from my experience!! Have fun! Some even do UV btw. |
Cheers Klaus,
I was looking through the forum and came across the threads about the Colorplan. This lead to an ebay search, and well, the rest is history. They were quite cheap, so i thought I'd give them a go. I did wonder about UV, perhaps not for the Colorplan, but for the Dimaron. I've got some time scheduled to measure the transmission of these (and a few of my microscope lenses), so it'll be interesting to see what happens. |

Well, the COLORPLAN is a fantastic lens, tack sharp and cheap to find (the common Portugal made variants, the original all metal Germany made ones are rare and expensve)
I have a few which work in UV, I'll let you know directly... _________________ Klaus - Admin
