I bought this lens for comparison to my Minolta MC 24mm. Although I have not test them side by side, I think they both perform pretty well on APS-C cameras. The center is decent already at F2.8, the corner become decent at F4 and good at F.6. Contrast is a bit on the low side at F2.8 but become good at F5.6. I observed there is small amount of field curve on APS-C sensor.
For color and bokeh, please check the following photos(click to enlarge).

This is currently my widest option and simply love it on full frame (sony a7). You should try to flare it as well. When used correctly, it gave awesome snaps! Few of them:

@Ash
These are fine samples showing the how the make use of the flare in environmental portraits. I will try when I get my FF camera. _________________ https://lensfever.com/

I used mine lots on my NEX-7, I had no complaints about sharpness, and ergonomics were great. _________________ A Manual Focus Junky...

I have one just like yours. It mostly gets used with my FD film cameras, occasionally with my NEX 7. I love it . . . more than my Nikkor 24/2.8. _________________ Michael
