Hello, I am thinkig to bid on auction for Jupiter 9, so I was hoping that you can help me determine is it rangefinder or slr version, and is it missing parts? I could not find exact lens on the web, its like it missing some part...

if i had to guess it might be someone's try to convert contax/kiev version to screw mount

The man is convincing me that it is not have been modified. I had in hands only one jupiter 9, but no mather what, to me its still looks weird.

Modified RF lens to M42. If it's well done, it will work.

He sad it is m39. I also think I will pass this one, I dont think he even knows what he sells.

Where's the focusing ring? Idea

First ring is aperture, second one is focus, you can see the focus scale just below it.

M39 may mean that this is a (converted?) lens for an enlarger. Either a factory conversion or a more do-it-yourself one. Once had the industar-26m for enlarger. Cosmetically it looked much like a normal one but there was no helicoid.

If it is in M39, it should be modified for Zenit camera with M39 threads.

No sense to convert a Jupiter-9 into a enlarger lens. Soviet had tone of cheap enlarger lens. Conversion quality showed on picture is clearly not factory quality.
