After borrowing a Minolta 7.5mm and having a good-ole-time with it, I wanted a super-wide fisheye to call my own. I have the 17mm Peleng already so I figured it needed a friend. It's obviously a novelty lens, not for everyone, or for most situations but it's just fun to have. It's probably more "usable" on a smaller format but on full-frame it's certainly a different look.

Anyways, these are just for funsies, maybe something a little different than what's normally on the forum. I also posted one in the color film section.

Thanks for viewing!
Be well,

Interesting. Smile I've always wanted a circular fisheye but could never justify it as it's such a specialist tool.

Btw, here's a good article about circular fisheye lenses by Alain Briot: https://luminous-landscape.com/circular-fisheye-photography/. A very honest account of his experience with such a lens, and very informative.

Great article. He certainly knows how to get the most out of circular compositions and I doubt I'll ever get there. That amazing scenery doesn't hurt either. Haha

I couldn't justify paying the normal $215ish they normally sell for but I was able to pick up a used one for around $100. A few enjoyable photo sessions make that worth it to me and if I go to sell it, I won't lose much, if anything.
