Vivitar 28/2, serial number is 22900640 so it's Kiron. It renders enormous swirly bokeh effect while being sharp at the centre. I used other Vivitar 28/2 and they never produced swirly bokeh. Does anynone have an idea what's causing swirliness?

No post-processing, Sony NEX-6.

Wow, that is indeed extreme! Surprised No idea if this is by design or someone tinkered with the lens. Must be by design though, with the centre this sharp.

I'd bet on some good modification, my current Vivitar 28/2 (also Kiron) has none of swirliness:

That's weird. Looks like photoshopped.
