I spent some time today at a friends farm, on the side of the road while the sheep were grazing. This is their working Kelpie,"Acka",itching to do some work.
Tamron SP 90/2.5 XE-1

Helios 44-2 wide open, and a slightly bored Kelpie

I was just contemplating which lens to take with me for a walk this afternoon, and the Tamron 90 was high up the list. It's a certainty now, what a wonderful lens it is. Razor sharp, lovely colours, what more do I need?

Great pictures Mo, the Helios is good as well. I'll put a M42 mount on the Tamron I think Wink

Some of your very best work Mo.
Never mind the lens - you are seeing with a discerning eye.
Great work

Good old Helios.
I'm struggling with the picture.
Does the town begin with an "A" or a "G"...

An "A", the main street is behind the trees to the left.

To tell you the truth,I have no idea what the place was that I took it from, so could not even tell you that as a clue!

A grab shot from the Tamron 90, these Dragonflies don't settle on anything, they just zoom around the pool all day. I was just pointing the camera and hoping for the best. This is a huge crop, PP'd but with very little sharpening. Also, into the sun, and no blue spot - I had a good hood on the lens. I think this says more about the lens than my skills as a nature photographer.

Now there are two of them. With the same lens no less.

Lloydy your hand-eye coordination is like to catch a fly with chopsticks. Amazing focus!

Lloydy, you could REALLY show off that photo by posting it in a BIF forum. Laughing

This is the original, it was sharp out of tin. But I took over 40 pictures in an hour and this was the only good one, most didn't even have a dragonfly in in the picture. It was just a case of pointing the camera in the general direction, and these things are fast so I was waving it around like a man possessed, the 27 degree view didn't help. I had the lens on f4 I think, ISO 500 and the exif says 1/1252.
