Way back in June I took a film camera with me on an extended weekend family camping trip. It took me until now to process the two rolls (along with some other film I shot over the summer). Nothing special, but I wanted to share the results because well... it's film and film has to be shared.
I used cheap DM Paradies 200 film which is a store branded repackaged something or another. (Btw, does it still exist? These were the last two rolls I had and the local DM where I live apparently doesn't sell film anymore. Is this just locally or has DM stopped selling film altogether?) Anyway, the film is... cheap. Very grainy (at least with my scanning and processing method it comes out as sand paper) and colours seem to be a little off but on the plus side it's predictable and quite forgiving. Even if exposure is several stops over or under you still get something that's close enough to decent.
Camera was Minolta X-700 in A mode which is nice most of the time but tends to get the exposure wrong as soon as you point it the wrong way. Have too keep in mind for next time to dial in +1 or +2 when shooting with backlight, or go full manual. Lens was Minolta MD 35-70mm/3.5 zoom. Obviously no record of actual focal length and aperture on each shot, but it doesn't matter anyway.

Thank you. Yes, many could be mistaken for being 40 years old. Like #1 especially, I think nothing has changed there in many decades. Even swimwear fashion has returned with similar styles. _________________ my flickr stream |

I love the vintage quality you achieved. The limitations of the film have enhanced your results, if that makes sense. _________________ Nikon D80 with 18/55 kit lens
