I've got both and cleaned up the bayonet version once I got lens wrench, don't have adapters for either.

Is either better than the other? I have an A7s now and don't have adapters for either yet, the speed difference is not important at all.

Both 135mm.

I'm sure you'll find the older 135/3.5 has the edge. The 135/2.5 Takumar bayonet which I had back in the "film era" always seemed to lack brilliance. But digital may do better than Kodachrome with it, so you'll make up your own mind when you get the adapters. That lens was relatively cheap when it was in production, far less costly than the 135/3.5 SMC-M which had a much better - and well deserved - reputation for good image quality. But these days, it seems to sell for three or four times the price of the SMC-M and more than double that of the 135 Super Takumars . . .

So Stephen may be right. I have both lenses but I didn't compare them directly so far.
