This lens was made for the AX line of film cameras and is in the older X-mount.
Has anyone used this lens or knows of its performance.
Your feedback is appreciated.

Do you know this site already?

Obviously it's a very good lens.... _________________ Thomas Bernardy

Thank you Thomas.
Yes I have seen that site, but other than that there seems to be a dearth of information on its performance. I was hoping for some first-hand reports and maybe some images if anyone has such.
Cheers

All I can say is that at least for the Fujinon AX lenses I have the judgement of lenses of this site are similar to mine. Unfortunately I never had the 28mm/1.9 lens, but several others already as the Fujica AX-3 was my first own "modern" SLR camera.
In other words, from my experience the lens rating of this site is rather trustworthy. _________________ Thomas Bernardy

Thank you - that is reassuring.
I think that the lens itself may be somewhat scarce, and perhaps there has been little else reported about it.
I have acquired one as a part of another purchase and it is in transit.
Interested to hear more about it - and of course will post some samples when it arrives.

I have this Fujinon too and like it very much, unfortunatly it doesn't get much use since I also have the Konica UC Hexanon 1.8/28 and Zeiss "Hollywood" which I both prefer a bit more.
A few nightshoots with the Fujinon:

Thank you Jan.
No, that is new to me.
What is clear from these and your images is that the lens is very capable indeed.
Thank you for the link and your own samples

Yes, mine is in transit.
It was part of an X-Fujinon bundle that I seemed to end up with that included a 70-140 and a 1.9/50.
It was the unusual and (unknown to me at the time) 1.9/28 that prompted my post here on MFL
I will most certainly use it.

Most probably.
However, as my first own new SLR camera used to be a Fujica AX-3 some decades ago I also have still some sentiments about those cameras and lenses.
Frankly speaking, these lenses are not bad at all and more than sufficient for "normal" photography. I still have some... _________________ Thomas Bernardy
