Yesterday I tried all my Hoya lenses at Eckartsau in Austria.
I didn't find topic dedicated to this zoom lens so I'm creating this one.
I shot the same scene with Hoya HMC tele-auto f3.5/200m and with this zoom.
The main difference is in color rendering. The zoom has yellowish tint in blue color rendering.
Time difference between shots is about ten minutes so I don't think conditions were changed.
In sharpness I think there is only little difference between named lenses.
Every shot is PPed in same way (contrast, saturation, sharpening, CA reduction)
Hoya HMC tele-auto f3.5/200mm
Hoya HMC zoom f4/80-200mm
And some other samples from this lens. It's very friendly for sharpening.
