A while ago I had the idea that some optical modification may allow "a lens" to achieve a Trioplan-like bokeh performance.
So I did some calculations and finally came up with some lens modification.

What do you think, was it worth it?

How is sharpness changed by this modification?
Due to the form of the flower and the size of the second photo it's a bit difficult for me to see that. |

I say definitely go ahead with this as too many people are paying too much money for Trioplans.
I also had an idea for creating bright outlines on out of focus highlights but I bet your idea is different! _________________ I don't care who designed it, who made it or what country it comes from - I just enjoy using it! |

Sharpness is "somewhat acceptable" (for me), at infinity ...

If it's your idea, and it turns out that it works, then go and have it mass-produced yourself i'd say!
Keep up the good work, i guess there is a market for an item/part/filter that can turn "a lens" into a Trioplan bokeh-clone! _________________ My Flickr photostream: http://www.flickr.com/photos/chantalrene/
