Here in Italy:
EUR 300 VAT incl. to upgrade to CS3 basic from CS2
EUR 660 VAT incl. to upgrade to CS3 extended from CS2
It's only a little more than one year that CS2 is out.
Do the Adobe guys think that our money grows on trees? _________________ Orio, Administrator

Yes, this is mean.
They did a similar thing when moving from CS to CS2.
And the worst is that they probably come out with a new version of Camera RAW that supports new camera models and only works with CS3. The "old" CS2 version will no longer be supported then.
So they force ambitioned owners of new cameras to buy CS3!

This is always dangerous - at least for me.
It's similar to "just trying" a lens and only keep it if you like it.
There might be no "real" reason, but of course there is something that makes you want it, keep it. And there you go again...
This is what I usually do...
I hope, you're strong enough, Orio! _________________ Personal forum activity on pause every now and again (due to job obligations)!

thanks
My main reason for Photoshop is actually work. I do most of my photo editing in the raw processors, so basically photoshop with my photos is to apply the signature, switch color space, and make the occasional B&W conversion.
And OK do some scanning of negs/slides.
But nothing that I could not do in Elements, I think.
So I will base my judgement only on the new features that I may need for work. _________________ Orio, Administrator
