It has been wet here for so long now that when the clouds parted today, we just had to get outside.

I just love my Topcor R version, your shots prove to me they didn't make it worse with the update, thanks for sharing.

Great samples from probably my favourite 135.
Mine shows a tad of purple fringing in extreme situations, but apart from that it's almost perfect.

Nice pictures. I owned one but sadly, I never thought it was that great... After a lot of different 135's, I settled on the Jena Sonnar 135/3.5.

Maybe I got a bad one... Did someone ever test it against the Zeiss ?

One of the beaut little design features of this lens is its built in lens hood.
Yes, there are plenty of lenses with a built in sliding lens hood.
This one has a two piece hood which turns what could have been a token effort into a deep hood that actually works well.
Some piccies

Very good!!!!

The CA seems to be Well corrected.

In the last I guess that the CA is near to pop at the hand, but not.

Really NICE. Thes are available for quite inexpensive on the bay right now like 40-60 USD for a user grade. I just love topcor re glass. Too bad the mechanicals were not as well designed as pentax or olympus. I have the 100 2.8 and a couple of examples of the 35mm 2.8 and a 58mm 1.4 that has a stuck helical I can't seem to get apart. As far as opticals go (in my opinion) other than the 58 they are excellent glass for the price.

I apologize for bringing this old post. But need to ask

Is true that the Topcor AR 135 F/3,5 is Cosina made lens?

Topcor AR??? I don't think Cosina and Topcon ever worked together, at least I've never heard of it.

This is all the 135mm(13.5cm) lenses that Topcon made, that I can think of.

Do you mean this AM Topcor 135/2.8? (I don't know much about this lens, the collector behind the faux wesellyourcollection probably knows more about it than I ever will... I don't know if Topcon contracted this one out or not.)

The topcon club indicate the AM Topcor and the N Navy version were both made by Cima Kogaku to Topcon designs.

The Cima kogaku 135/2,8 lens is a decent rendering one

Thanks Macca, it's been a while since I read their site, they do look similar, to the "RE Topcor" I wonder if there is any "RE Auto-Topcor" Navy lenses out there.

I'd love to see a comparison. including the formula diagram.

A lovely Navy set.

Dead giveaway of Cima Kogaku lenses is the four unevenly spaced screws holding the lens mount onto the lens body. This allowed a variety of mounts to be used, including Topcon, Pentax K, Nikon, Minolta, etc. See US Patent 4,174,167.
