There's a rare Asahi PENTAR H2 (instead of PENTAX) for sale now here in Switzerland. Price currently at CHF 30.--, but probbaly won't go much higher. If a collector is interested, PM me. The shutter doesnt work reliably any more, but otherwise the camera looks rather nice. No lens attached, but original "PENTAX" (not "PENTAR"!) camera case included.

I have nothing to do with the listing; this is just an information for potential hardcore collectors Wink

Pentar was used in the South African Market due to a branding conflict with Pentacon, or rather one of the companies that was merged into it. VEB Zeiss Ikon. Asahi OC Had acquired the Pentax brand name but that wasn't recognised in all countries yet, so Pentar, Penta and Asahiflex were used in those markets
