Hello everybody
I want to share an interesting vintage lens (format 9x12).
Kodar was mounted on cheap amateur cameras.
But now it interesting, because unusual optic design - unsymmetrical periscopic doublet (2 elements).

I curious the lens to make some shooting on DSLR camera. Color and contrast poor, but I surprised it's rendering. On B&W looks like vintage photos.

Color samples:

How do you think about this lens?

I am actually surprised at the quality of this two element lens.
Sharpness is very good indeed - certainly in parts of the images anyway.
In the children group image the tiles(?) behind them are very crisp.
I think that this lens has lots of potential and you won't be wasting your time exploring it.
Thanks for sharing this
