I like your simple test,
I think bokeh is decent, actually
the use of hood will help contrast

I liked it so much when I saw another one going for next to nothing, I had to have it. That said, the 1.7/50 is a better lens, but the 2/45 has a certain character, particularly the colours. The contrast is a bit lower than the best Minoltas (like the 1.7/50) but this probably contributes to the pleasant colour rendition.

Another small drawback is the 0.6m min. focus distance, but you can't have it all Smile

My MD 50/1.7 is very nice, I'd also rate it higher.

The flare in nr 4 is really "3d" : )
