Well, some may remember when our member Kamosor presented his converted VISIONAR f1.6 100mm lens. Then our member Dan showed his fantastic conversion project,
where he "forced" his lens to accept an aperture. So today I got a package from Dan with my converted lens in it!!! What a fantastic job he did and I am very grateful for his work!

Here are all three in their glory (in the mentioned sequence left to right)....

Here mounted on my workhorse, my Lumix GH1

Pictures using it will certainly follow soon...

Here just a teaser, I took while it was raining...

Very interesting indeed. Visionars are impossible to find over here in England. I have one, but it's a monstrous 1.6/168mm that is so big and heavy it's not really practical.

Interesting, what are the shortest lengths they come in?

PostPosted: Tue Mar 10, 2015 9:14 pm    Post subject: Reply with quote

50mm, but the back focal length varies quite a bit with type. A bit longer I would recommend.
From 71mm onwards it gets quite useful...

Congrats Dan and Klaus Smile Really fantastic modifications. I like Dan's style Visionars and this stylish rear cap, too. Klaus, what kind of adapter is it? Is it Borg's or Yeenon's helical focuser?

Very nice results of conversion and pictures. What aperture you're using on it?
Ian, I would suggest 77mm for easier adaptation on NEX.
About Visionar 50, how much is it? maybe I'm interested Very Happy

I do not know if Klaus has luck to lenses or lenses have luck to Klaus skill. Your photos are the best advertisement for manual focus lenses.
