Sticky shutter

I picked up a Nikon FM2n for $11 USD. Sat unused for years and the shutter is sticky especially at speeds below 1/125. At very slow speeds it hangs inconsistently. I cycled the shutter a few hundred times @ various speeds. Improvement but still not right. Messing around I found if I poke the motordrive shutter release on the bottom plate it frees up a stuck shutter. Also I can hear what sounds like the self timer when the shutter hangs open.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. If need be I'll have a CLA performed because a good FM2n sells for close to $300 USD and this one is very low use. I'm a mechanic and comfortable to a point disassembling to the point of taking apart the shutter mechanism w/o a service manual which I'm looking for now. Thanks.

Yes it is the aluminum version. I sent it off for a restoration so I can take it to Nepal next year w/o worry.
