Ricoh Auto TLS EE

Found and purchased an old Ricoh Auto TLS EE. Beautiful camera. Came with a Auto EE Rikenon 50/f1.7. I replaced the battery light meter works!!! The only problems are it has a very hard shutter. Sometimes the shutter button works smoothly and the shutter fires normally. Other times, the shutter button is very stiff and a lot of downward pressure is needed to fire the shutter. It fires but if I know it will introduce camera movement in the photo if I use it as is. Anyone know of a repair manual that is available or a general idea of how to fix this problem?
