Luckily we have many less costly alternatives I prefer PB version against this cine lens.

I hope you guys don't mind gravedigging this thread.

Once I've bought ugly but cheap B50 from Russia (must-CLA) being frozen at my serviceman for nearly a year. After many and many hours he did wonders with the item condition - excluding scratchy optics - so I decided not to sell this one but keep it (as there are almost none better lens investments than this rare funny Biotar).

I am naturally eager to put it into use but a Canon user too.

Correct me if I did count wrong, but according to my thoughts it is virtually impossible to arrange focusing in +/- full scale on Canon (apart from adapting itself)? Even if adapted somehow (lathe) the "ass" of the lens is so long it'd have to be bastardized (shortened). Is this idea true or are there any other possibilities?

Messing with anything one can't put back into original correct order is not allowed in my world as this is a future collectible and sought-after gem!
