Can someone please share some images of this lens, images which would help me identify one in the wild? I found one for sale recently and I'm not sure which version it is, I need help to see if it's the best version which people here speak highly of.

Thanks in advance.

Try here. The author says there is only one version of the 135/2.5.

That's the Konica Hexanon 135/2.5, not Pentax.

My bad. That's what I get by reading before I've finished my morning coffee. Apologies.

Thanks. This proves that the one I have found is not the good version Sad

If you have found the Takumar Bayonet version - yes it is not the good version.

There are earlier versions of this lens - takumar 135 2.5 V1 and V2, they both are not bad... one of them is claimed to be identical to Contax Sonnar 135 2.8...

If you want another review... http://erphotoreview.com/wordpress/?p=883 try this one...

It does not mean that Takumar bayonet is bad. It is a much simpler, but still very good lens.

That's just another crazy unsubstantiated claim. T* Sonnar is nothing like the Tak, they don't even have the same number of elements.

The guy who made that video is an idiot who does not understand what he's talking about. Made by Takumar, really?
