just surprised myself by liking this lens suddenly, I grabbed one

170gm, so light, small, cheap for good examples, it ticks all the boxes

there are other interesting FD / FL lenses, might be worth sorting out a good/best adapter

a cheap one will do for now .. and a JJC lenshood that looks close enough to the pricy BW-52B

It is a nice WIDE lens that still can fetch lower prices. Smile
Regarding the adapter which is the camera to use it?

panasonic lumix g1 or g3, mostly, so m43

also canon 20d or 650d, maybe

hm, there seems to be a few FD 28mm 2.8s .. this is the smaller 52mm filter thread one

hmm .. its arrived .. its 55mm filter thread, a FD 28mm f/2.8 S.C in bayonet with a silver lockring

no adapter yet

so not the desired smallest variety, still

looks to be in excellent nick, good for the money

It's a nice little lens indeed. Mine has 52mm thread.

Two full frame samples.

I have the later model with the black locking ring. A nice lens. It cost me £15 from a pawn shop.

hm, mines silver locking, and 55mm filter threads

and still-no-show on a FD to M43 endapter

i'd like the Hexanon > M43 yesterday too pls

quite similar in build style as it goes, FD and AR

my adapter to M43 arrived just now

seriously fiddly, both adapter and lensmount

but i like this lens, seems well worth some hassle,

hope the adapter stays put, i dont want to remove it

focusses delightfully close

and this is something i've been missing with using oldo lenses

huh .. had a bad moment just then, aperture seemed not working, but it seems fine now, maybe it was just a bit sticky from not being used, hmm

there looks to be oil on some of the blades

great build quality on this

if the image qualty is a good as it seems, this was a bargain

and i'm getting used to the adapter and the locking-rings

might be nice to look for a good copy of the 58mm 1.2 FD
