Canon FD 200mm 1:2.8 S.S.C. on Sony A7

First of all, I already posted a lot of samples with this lens in this thread: http://forum.mflenses.com/200mm-lens-comparisons-4-and-a-ringer-t74413.html

At first I only wanted to post some samples for comparison reasons and never expected to use this lens very much since I never really enjoyed using any of my 135mm lensen on my A7, but I should have known I would like the 200 better since I used the 135's a lot on my Canon crop body! So to stop hijacking that thread I just had to open this one

Thanks SonicScot and Atlasman, and marino24, it's a very nice lens indeed, I think it deserves a better reputation than it has!
When I was looking for info about it before I bought it, most reviews or forum posts mostly seem to mention the 'horrible' CA and the fact that there are better alternatives (mainly the Nikkor 180 ED), but not too much mention of all the things this lens is great at!

It's true, CA control could be better, but it's hardly visible as long as you don't blow the highlights to much and the rest is just fantastic imo: sharpness, bokeh, drawing style, selective dof at very long focus distances, flare control, size/weight, handling,...

Not to mention the price, I got the lens + extender FD 2x-B for €170 + €13 posting costs, which seems to be about the average price, I think it's a good deal, even though that also makes it my most expensive 'vintage' buy until now..

The IF version seems to be a nice lens also, but of course totally different optically, but I don't know how much difference there really is in practical use, except for the closer mfd witch I miss sometimes, but this SSC one is not at it's best concerning CA at mfd anyway it seems to me.
You (and everyone else) are very welcome to add your own pictures, but I think it's more transparant for future searches to keep it at this SSC lens and the first nFD version, there was an other recent thread comparing a couple of 200mm lenses
