it's the Kiron made Vivitar and the lens turbo from Zhongyi, all taken in Saigon

Oops! Sorry that I did not comment earlier.

Once again, some wonderful shot, Andy.

I just received such a lens today, again. (Had one, sold it, bought another one...)
Why did buy it again? Because it is probably the most affordable 2.0/28 lens out there and still a more than decent performer.
It's definitely no lens for "name dropping" but one to enjoy good photos with. Wink

And this time I got one with a Pentax mount for which I also have the lens turbo.

I am very curious to see how much I like it. I used to like it on APS a lot (not that much on my 5D, though.)
Anyway, it looks good on an X Fuji. Wink

thank's for commenting Carsten, and congrats to again getting this lens!

You are right, it certainly must be one of the cheapest f2/28 available and it's a good lens! I have not tried it on FF, but it does quite well on APS-C, even with the lens turbo. Earlier this year I had made a small sharpness shootout of 28mm lenses, on APS-C without lens turbo. The f2/28 Vivtar really had suprised me, that much that it now went on travels with me. ( test had been done very fast, and I only had compared midpoint between center and corner @f4 and f5.6, simple rating I mentioned in another thread: http://forum.mflenses.com/advice-super-sharp-28-or-35-mm-lens-t63875,start,60.html )

another recent pics taken with lens turbo on NEX5n, wide open

and 2 older ones taken on Pentax K-x, to note, against the title of the thread, without lens turbo

( haha, as published on my flickr, I just noticed that I must have levelled the pic but then forgot to cut the white border )

best greetings, andreas

I have checked again. The lens I did not like on the 5D was the "close focus" version by Komine, not the "regular" one by Kiron (which I have now.)

I am really happy to have the Kiron version now for my Fujis. It's a 2.0/42 with a normal adapter and a 1.4/28 with the lens turbo.
