I'm going to Paris next month for 3 days. I'll visit the new David LaChapelle exhibition.
One friend told me that exists one road with photography shops that sell used equipments etc...
Someone know a good place to buy MF lenses? I want to see if the prices are ok |

Hello,
Cannot help for Paris (i too, i would like to know it ), but, if you decide to make a trip in Toulouse (nearest to Lisbon), each first weekend of the month there is a fair, and there are at least two sellers who have a some used photo gear (that's where i bought my Travenar, a Zuiko 50/1.8, a Meyer 135/2.8 and a lot of other gear) ...

Lazzaros,
As stated by moazebulon, go to boulevard Beaumarchais, near Bastille and place des Vosges. That's where the biggest sellers for used photo gear are located. Be aware though that there are hardly any bargain purchases to be made, as the prices are usually quite high. But you might find some rare item you were looking for. The best deals are usually found from private sellers on fairs and street markets (no VAT), like the famous Bièvre photo fair, which is held annually in the Spring.
This shop specializes in medium format gear:
Le Moyen Format
50, boulevard Beaumarchais
75011 Paris
Phone: 01 48 07 13 18
Website: http://www.legrandformat.com/MFweb/MF%20sommaire.html
Used gear: http://www.legrandformat.com/MGWEBOCC.htm
Hope this helps,

I would just like to ask if there are some other / more recent recommendations besides boulevard Beaumarchais to find MF lenses in Paris? Ideally I would like to find myself an LTM 50mm Canon (1.2, 1.4 or 1.8) to try and possibly buy, but I'm interested in all sorts of gear.
Any flea-markets worth checking out or other events within the next couple of weeks? How about the Foire de Chatou antiques fair (http://www.foiredechatou.com/en/) - any chance of finding something there?
Thanks in advance for any advice. |

All the shop in Paris show very high prices compared to ebay. I never bought anything localy in Paris/France.
The only shop that could be interesting is next to Place d'Italie, an old chineese guy have a vitrine full of dusty lenses. He didn't have any soviet, so I went out quite fast, but I think there can be some interesting things.
If I remember well, it's the little blue shop here https://www.google.com.ua/maps/@48.830847,2.354241,3a,75y,160.71h,79t/data=!3m4!1e1!3m2!1sY1RmC6E6LxCY0mKQc103vg!2e0

Yes, there are different shops on the Boulevard Beaumarchais. Go then Place des Vosges , have a coffee or a lunch and make pictures . It is a gem. |
