    Meyer Primoplan 75mm f/1.9 <100 EUR
    Tamron SP 70-150 f/2.8 SOFT 51A <50 EUR
    Tamron SP 80-200 f/2.8 30A <50 EUR
    Tamron SP 200-500 f/5.6 31A <100 EUR

These price limits are not realistic , all are bargain, but let we see, perhaps works.

If I knew before Sunday I could have looked at the fair, I am sure I would have found at least some of the Tamron lenses, there was a lot of them, although you don't give indication of price limit, so it would have been difficult to conclude a business not knowing how much you wanted to spend for each

Yes, price limit is important! Thanks! No problem at all, these lenses are not important at all if I can get them ok if not also ok.

At the moment, I consider my collection complete, apart from maybe two lenses (in order of priority):

- 17mm Tokina, or a 19mm Vivitar or a 20mm MIR (or another comparable non-fisheye lens)
- Nikkor 2/85 or preferably but not as likely a Nikkor 1.8/85 (or a Tak 1.8/85 instead)

And I also have price limits! You know how I am...

Carsten

Forget about the Nikkor 2/85 !
It SEEMS alike the 1.8/85... but it only seems!
It is a completely redesigned lens, and, according to what I read, not half as good as the 1.8/85!
If the 1.8/85 is priced too high for your limit, then my advice is to stay with the Jupiter-9 and not spend your money on a not-so-good lens.

This will not be easy. I have bought my second one for EUR 25, but it was from a seller who did not know what he had in his hands.

It is possible sometimes to make great deals from sellers who are not photography experts. But you need a lot of luck to find exactly the lens you are looking for. Sellers who are aware, rarely sell their Jupiter-9 for less than 50 Euros.

Yes that's true, been on the lookout for one for a while.

But I'm not in a hurry Wink

I waited long enough to find a Pentax-A 50mm f1.7 and eventually I was able to get one for 35 euros. Nowadays prices for that one are skyrocketing. Quality is excellent.

I hope to eventually stumble on a Jupiter-9 just like that Wink

Best advice you could give! I think it's like going fishing - most times you catch nothing or maybe only tiddlers, but if you're patient for long enough the big fish will bite. Smile

I'm currently on the lookout for a nice M42 Meyer Orestor or early Pentacon 2.8/100 or 2.8/135 - must be the pre-set version.

Edit: 135 purchased today 6 May 2007.

My wishlist:

Affordable lenses:

- MIR-10A 28mm best if M42 mount, OK also Nikon or Pentax mount, price depending on condition

- MIR-47M 20mm best if M42 mount, OK also Nikon or Pentax mount, price not higher than 95 Eur if used, 120 if like new

- Flektogon 4/20 if mechanically perfect only - price to be discussed

- Flektogon 4/25 price depending on condition

- Jupiter-6 (silver) or Jupiter-6-2, silver version preferred, ok also black version if price low. For silver version, price depending on condition

- Vega (don't know model number) 120mm. for Pentacon 6, only if price is low

- Zenitar fisheye, better if M42 mount, OK also Nikon or Pentax mount, price not higher than 100 Eur

Not-so-affordable lenses:

- Biotar 1.5/75 in M42 mount

- Elmarit-R 180 second version (non-apo)

- Zeiss Planar 2/100 (I know this is a dream)

- Zeiss Planar 4/100 Macro (this is a dream power of 2)

- Zeiss Distagon 21 (this is a dream power of 3!)

- Elmarit-R 60 Macro, any version

- Elmarit-R 2.8/28 last version

- Summilux-R 1.4/50 any version (a half-dream)

I will update it if I can think of something else.

They reviewed it recently in photozone:

Update:

- A nice Leica lens (for affordable money).
- A Nikkor SC 1.4/50 or 1.2/55 depends on the price as well. DONE! Very Happy Yipppiiieeehhh!

Still looking for a Leica lens, though. But there will be another Solms Camera Fair in November. Wink

Hi guys,
I have a 100/2.8 Pentacon with a very bad rear element. It's full of tiny scratches and the coating is partially of.
The rest of the lens is impossibly new considering the back element.

Anyway, I need the rear element so if you have any please send me an e-mail with your conditions.

The lens has the same construction with his brother Meyer.
Thanks

I have four pieces from this lens 3 of them has same problem what you have. I don't what is this really I can't see on any other lenses and I don't think so owner was that stupid to make these scratches.

Looking to buy early Nikkor primes that have been AI'd. I don't mind some barrel wear, but only interested in fungus free, un-oiled up blades and unscratched glass.

My Wishlist for my EOS, M42 & PK bodies :

- Helios-40-2 (black version)
- Jupiter-9 (black version)
- any 50mm 1.2 (Zuiko, ...)
- any non tele 65mm++ register lens for tilt/shift experiments (Vega, ...)

=> in any working shape, even if in need for some care : I'm not a collector, just using them for photo purposes Wink

I'm on a budget, I can not afford some "Buy now" prices for those gems... Embarassed

PostPosted: Wed Oct 24, 2007 10:20 pm    Post subject: Reply with quote

Those lenses are never going on bargain price I am afraid. Sometimes Jupiter-9 going see MF Club.

PostPosted: Wed Oct 24, 2007 10:31 pm    Post subject: Reply with quote

It's just a Wishlist Wink

A Jupiter-9 is not that high, Click here to see on Ebay or Click here to see on Ebay ($US is low versus €EUR) but I don't know if it's worth that price...

PostPosted: Wed Oct 24, 2007 10:34 pm    Post subject: Reply with quote

First one looks better , fair price.

PostPosted: Thu Oct 25, 2007 11:04 am    Post subject: Reply with quote

A Jupiter-9 in very good condition is worth $100, IMHO.
Thank God, you don't have to pay that, but it is worth it.

Compared to the Helios-40-2, which is at least twice as expensive (often more), the Jupiter-9 is a bargain.
The 40-2 is so expensive, because every really fast lens goes for exaggerated prices at the moment.
I mean, you can get a J9 for €60,- but you have to pay €200,- for a 40-2?
Come on, where is the sense in that?

BTW, I'd like to update my wish list:

- a Leica lens (preferably 90mm, but 50, 35 or 28, even 135mm would be OK as well).
- a Nikkor 1.8/85 (but that will be as expensive as a Leica, I guess. I still can hit myself, because at the last camera show in Solms, one seller offered me such a lens in excellent condition for € 160,- and I guess he would have talked about the price, but I rejected.) Crying or Very sad
- a lens between 17 and 20mm (MIR, Tokina, Tamron, CZJ - whatever there is for an affordable price).
- a fast (f1.5) 50mm lens for my M39-rangefinder FED-3b. (Sometimes these lenses go for about € 50,- in Russia, that's not too bad, but it's also not a high priority case.) Wink

And, after Orio's experiences with his new Rollei Planar, I am really interested in this lens. There is a local shop close by that sells this lens at the moment - nobody seems to be interested, because this lens has been on the offer for half a year or something. It is in great condition and works perfectly, nobody wants to have Rollei-mount lenses, I guess. I hope I get the chance to go there soon.

You are right, I don't want to be part of that silly game...

Don't misunderstand me, the Helios-40-2 surely is a great lens and I would love to have one - but not for this price.
